BEAVER CREEK — Bloomfield received the “Large Community of the Year” award this month at the Colorado Economic Development Council’s 2024 EDIE Awards Ceremony in Beaver Creek.
“The awards ceremony showcased the incredible efforts of economic development professionals who have dedicated themselves to advancing Colorado’s economy,” said John Bristol, EDCC board chairman and Routt County Economic Development Partnership executive director, in a prepared statement. . “The City and County of Bloomfield’s innovative economic development strategies and collaborative efforts not only foster business growth, but strengthen our entire community.”
According to EDCC, the EDIE Awards “focus on impactful contributions that enhance Colorado’s economic vitality and foster vibrant communities that are committed to resilience and quality of life.” “These awards reflect the strong partnerships between economic and workforce development organizations, educational institutions, and the business community and demonstrate remarkable efforts to drive economic growth for our state.” Barbara Kirk Meyer (R-Brighton) was selected as one of the members of Congress to receive the 2024 Congressman of the Year award at the ceremony.
