On October 1, Maryland Latinos Unidos (MLU) will host the third event in its Pathways to Progress series: “Fostering Latino Wealth Creation and Economic Growth in Maryland.”
This exciting half-day summit will take place at Prince George’s Community College from 8am-12pm and will bring together a dynamic group of leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers and community advocates.
The goal of the “Pathways to Progress” series is to shine a spotlight on the challenges facing Maryland’s Latino community and find ways to foster economic resilience and prosperity. The event is part of MLU’s ongoing commitment to address systemic barriers and create wealth-generating opportunities within Latino communities across Maryland.
Participants will hear from expert panels, network with peers, and co-develop actionable local strategies to advance economic mobility. The Summit will explore key topics including:
Expanding Access to Capital: Address financial inclusion and expand access to capital for Latino entrepreneurs and small business owners. Workforce and Small Business Development: Discuss strategies to strengthen workforce development and create long-term career paths to economic stability. Access to Wealth Creation: Identify barriers to homeownership and wealth creation opportunities for Latino families. Policy Advocacy: Explore policy changes that can reduce wealth disparities and improve economic mobility within Latino communities.
