It’s no secret that Donald Trump’s mishandling of the pandemic has hurt the economy. Thanks to Vice President Harris’ leadership, more Wisconsinites have jobs and more money in our pockets. However, many families still need additional support.
Kamala Harris knows this from experience. She grew up in a middle-class family and understands the pressures of making ends meet. That’s why she’s charting a new path forward with a plan to build an “opportunity economy” where families not only survive, but thrive.
Kamala Harris will tackle corporate price gouging, donate $25,000 to first-time homebuyers, and continue to negotiate lower drug prices with Big Pharma to reduce costs and make life more affordable. I’m thinking of changing the price. These are all plans to help everyday Americans like you and me. These plans give middle-class families the opportunity to build generational wealth, which is especially important for our Black community. After centuries of being shut out of the job market, the domestic market, and the opportunities of America’s economy, Black voters are confident that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz have a plan to right historic injustices. can.
Meanwhile, it’s clear that Donald Trump only cares about himself and his wealthy donors. In fact, as president, he gave massive tax cuts to billionaires, but he had no interest in middle-class families, and he still doesn’t. President Trump’s “Project 2025” would raise costs for the middle class by up to $4,000 a year, raising costs for middle-class families and benefiting wealthy corporations. I don’t know about you, but I depend on that $4,000. There is no room in the pockets of the rich.
Throughout this campaign, I saw two different visions of America from Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. Kamala Harris is committed to serving the American people and has a plan to further benefit middle-class families. Donald Trump only offers false claims, harmful rhetoric, and extreme ideas that make life harder and more expensive for ordinary Americans. Kamala Harris’ plan will advance Black communities and create economic opportunity. We must vote for Kamala Harris and the Democrats on the ballot this November and make the Harris-Waltz Economic Opportunity Plan a reality.
